Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients 1 pie crust 4 oz cream cheese ½ cup cool whip – base ½ cup powdered sugar 1 large banana 1 box banana pudding ½ cup sour cream 1 cup milk 1 cup cook whip – filling Instructions Mix cream cheese, ½ cup cool whip, and powdered sugar. Place in the bottom of the crust. Slice bananas and place on top. Mix banana pudding, sour cream, and milk.

Blueberry Cranberry Pie

Ingredients 1⁄2 small orange (including peel), seeded and quar-tered 1 (12 oz) pkg fresh or frozen cranberries 4 Cups (about 20 oz) fresh or frozen blueberries 1⁄2 tsp salt 1 2⁄3 Cups sugar 3 Tbsp cornstarch Instructions Coarsely grind the orange in a food processor or blender and put in a large saucepan. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and sugar is dissolved, about 4-6 minutes.

Cranberry Cherry Pie

Ingredients double pie crust 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed ¾ cup sugar 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ tsp ground cinnamon 1⁄8 tsp ground allspice 2 Tbsp butterscotch1 tsp milk 1 Tbsp coarse sugar Instructions Line a 9 inch pie plate with bottom pastry and trim to 1 inch beyond edge of plate. Combine pie filling, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, and allspice.

Cranberry-Pear Pie

Ingredients pie crust 3 large pears; peeled, cored, and sliced 1 ½ C fresh or frozen cranberries (about 5 oz) ¾ C sugar ½ C dried cranberries (about 3 oz) 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp grated lemon zest ½ tsp ground ginger 1 Tbsp milk Instructions Preheat oven to 425 degrees. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one of the dough halves to a 12 ½ inch round.

Dutch Apple Pie

Pie Crust 5 1⁄2 Cups peeled, cored, sliced cooking apples 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1⁄2 Cup granulated sugar 1⁄4 Cup brown sugar, packed 3 Tbsp flour 1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon 1⁄4 tsp nutmeg Topping 3⁄4 Cup flour 1⁄4 Cup granulated sugar 1⁄4 Cup brown sugar, packed 1⁄3 Cup butter, room temperature Instructions Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Fit pie crust into pie plate. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples, lemon juice, both sugars, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Flaky Pie Pastry

Ingredients 2 2⁄3 cup flour 2 Tbsp sugar ½ tsp salt ¾ cup cold butter, cut in ½ inch square pieces ¼ cup vegetable shortening, cut in 4 pieces 5-6 Tbsp ice water Instructions Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter and shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Drizzle 5 Tbsp ice water over the top, tossing the mixture with a fork until the dough just comes together.

Grandma Wood's Pie Crust

Ingredients 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 2 tsp sugar 2⁄3 cup shortening ¼ cup cold water (approximately) Instructions Combine flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter, leaving some pea sized chunks of grease. Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with a fork until it forms a soft ball. Divide into 2 balls and refrigerate while you prepare filling (or at least a ½ hour).

Key Lime Pie

Graham Cracker Crust 1 pkg (11 full sheets) graham crackers, finely crushed 2 ½ Tbsp sugar 5 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Add the melted butter and stir until the crumbs are evenly moistened. Using your fingertips, press the crumb mixture evenly over the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees, until the edges are light golden brown.

Raspberry Cream Pie
