Blonde Brownies

Ingredients 1 C brown sugar 1 C white sugar 1 cube butter 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 C flour 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 pkg chocolate chips or raisins Instructions Mix sugars and butter well. Add eggs and vanilla and mix. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake in oiled 9x13 pan for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients 1 box cake mix 1 egg ¼ cup flour 1⁄3 cup water 1⁄3 cup oil chocolate chips (raisins, nuts, etc.) Instructions Combine ingredients and back at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

Caramel Fudge

Ingredients 3 C sugar 1 can evaporated milk ¾ C margarine 1 pkg. chocolate chips 30 caramels 7 oz marshmallow creme 1 tsp vanilla Instructions Boil sugar, evaporated milk, margarine, and chocolate chips 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add caramels, marshmallow creme, and vanilla. Pour into buttered pan.

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients 1 C margarine ¾ C sugar ¾ C brown sugar 2 eggs 1 ½ C flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp water 1 tsp vanilla 2 C oatmeal chocolate chips, raising, or nuts, if desired Instructions Mix and drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 11 minutes.

Ingredients 1 C sugar 1⁄3 C margarine 1 1⁄3 C coconut 2 eggs 1 ½ C flour 3 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon ¾ tsp salt ½ tsp nutmeg 1 pkg chocolate chips Instructions Bake in 9x13 pan about 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Grandma's Banana Drop Cookies

Ingredients 2 ¼ cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder ½ Tbsp baking soda ¾ tsp salt 2⁄3 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups chocolate chips 1 cup chopped nuts, if desired 1 Tbsp sugar ¼ tsp cinnamon Instructions Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in shortening. Add eggs, bananas, and vanilla. Beat until well blended.

Granola Bars

Ingredients 1 C brown sugar 1 C Karo syrup 1 C peanut butter 6 C granola or Rice Krispies chocolate chips, if desired Instructions Bring brown sugar and Karo Syrup to a boil. Add peanut butter and granola. Put in a buttered pan. May melt chips on top when still warm. Cut in bars.

Healthy Peanut Butter Balls

Ingredients 1 C dry oatmeal (or wheat flakes) 1⁄2 C chocolate chips 1⁄2 C peanut butter 1⁄2 C ground flaxseed 1⁄3 C honey 1 tsp vanilla Instructions Mix ingredients together. Roll into balls. Refrigerate to set.

Layer Cookies

Ingredients ¼ C butter 1 ½ C graham cracker crumbs 1 C semisweet chocolate chips 1 C butterscotch chips 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk 1 1⁄3 C shredded coconut Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place butter in a 9x13 pan and melt in oven. Swirl to coat bottom and sides with butter. Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly over the bottom of the pan. Pour chocolate chips and butterscotch chips over crumbs, pour condensed milk over chips, pour coconut over milk.

Ingredients 1 pkg chocolate chips ¼ C margarine ½ C peanut butter 1 tsp vanilla 9 C chex cereal 1 ½ C powdered sugar Instructions Melt chocolate chips, margarine, and peanut butter, then add vanilla. Pour over chex. Stir well and toss with powdered sugar.

Ingredients 3⁄4 C shortening (or 1⁄2 C butter) 1 C brown sugar 1⁄2 C sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs 2 1⁄2 C flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 C chocolate chips Instructions Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients 6 C Rice Krispies 1 bag miniature marshmallows 3 Tbsp butter 1 bag of chocolate chips (for chocolate Rice Krispie Treats) Instructions Melt marshmallows and butter. Pour over Rice Krispies and chocolate chips (if desired).

See's Fudge

Ingredients 4 ½ C sugar 1 can evaporated milk 1 ½ pkg chocolate chips (3 C), can also use peanut butter or butterscotch 1 pint marshmallow creme handful of marshmallows 1 C butter (no substitutions) 2 tsp vanilla nuts or crushed peppermint, as desired Instructions Stir and boil sugar and evaporated milk 10 minutes. Combine all other ingredients except vanilla and nuts in a separate bowl. Pour sugar mixture over these ingredients and mix well.

Soda Cracker Candy

Ingredients oil saltine crackers 1 C butter 1 C brown sugar chocolate chips Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheet with foil and oil well. Line with whole saltine crackers. Boil butter and brown sugar for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour sugar mixture over crackers by spoonful. Bake for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. When melted, spread and sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Cool 20 minutes before cutting.
