Cabbage Chicken Salad

Ingredients 2 cooked chicken breasts 2 Tbs slivered almonds 2 green onions, sliced 1 oriental noodle package 2 Tbs sesame seeds 1⁄2 head shredded cabbage Sauce: 1 Tbs sugar 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil 3 Tbs white vinegar seasoning packet (from oriental noodles) Instructions Mix sauce and pour over rest.

Grandma Wood's Potato Salad

Ingredients 5-6 new potatoes, boiled until barely done 4-5 hard boiled eggs, diced ½ cucumber, chopped 1 small bunch green onions, chopped Instructions Combine ingredients and sprinkle with 2 Tbsp sugar, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes while preparing dressing. Dressing: 1 cup Miracle Whip ½ cup mayonnaise 3 Tbsp canned milk Pour over potato mixture and toss. Best if served within one hour.

Green Salad with Pears, Feta, and Cinnamon Walnuts

Cinnamon Walnuts (or Almonds) 1 Cup nuts, chopped 1⁄4 Cup sugar 1⁄8 tsp cinnamon dash salt Salad 2 heads green leafy lettuce 1⁄2 red onion 1 Cup feta cheese 4 Bartlett pears Dressing 1⁄3 Cup + 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 1⁄2 Cup sugar 1⁄2 Cup mayonnaise 1⁄4 Cup red onion, roughly chopped 1⁄2 Cup + 2 Tbsp canola oil 1⁄4 tsp dry mustard 1⁄2 tsp salt juice from 1 lemon Instructions Make cinnamon nuts by adding chopped nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a large hot skillet.

Marci's Green Salad

Ingredients 2 bags of lettuce 1 pint strawberries 1 Cup Monterey Jack cheese (shredded) Dressing 1 Cup vegetable oil 1⁄2 Cup red wine vinegar 2 tsp fresh garlic (or 1 tsp garlic powder) 3⁄4 Cup Sugar 1⁄2 tsp salt Mix in blender and pour over salad before serving.

Pretzel Salad

Ingredients 3 cups pretzels, crushed 4 Tbs sugar 1 1⁄2 cubes butter, melted 1 cup sugar 6 oz cream cheese 6 oz whipped topping 1 large raspberry jello 2 cups water Frozen raspberries Instructions Mix pretzels, sugar, and butter and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Spread sugar, cream cheese, and whipped topping over cooled crust. Prepare and chill jello raspberry mixture.

Seven Layer Salad (Sarah Salad)

Ingredients 1 head lettuce (may use 2 kinds) 1 Cup diced celery 4 hard boiled eggs, sliced 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen peas 1⁄2 Cup chopped green pepper 1 medium diced red onion 8 slices bacon, fried and crumbled red pepper and cucumber (optional) grated cheese for top Frosting 2 Cups mayo 2 Tbsp sugar, or more (to taste) Instructions Add each ingredient to serving bowl and frost.

Sunshine Salad

Ingredients 1 large pkg cook-n-serve pudding 1 small pack instant lemon pudding 1 small pkg orange Jello 1 cup milk 1 can mandarin oranges 1 (8 oz) tub cook whip Instructions Make large lemon pudding according to package directions. Dissolve orange Jello in 2 cups boiling water and combine with pudding. Pour into 9x13 pan until set. Mix instant lemon pudding with milk and combine with cool whip.
