Green Salad with Pears, Feta, and Cinnamon Walnuts

Green salad with lots of yummy flavors.

Cinnamon Walnuts (or Almonds)

  • 1 Cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • dash salt

Salad

  • 2 heads green leafy lettuce
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 Cup feta cheese
  • 4 Bartlett pears

Dressing

  • 1/3 Cup + 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 Cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup red onion, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • juice from 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Make cinnamon nuts by adding chopped nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a large hot skillet.
  2. Cook them over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and begins to make a candy coating along the nuts. Be careful not to let them burn.
