Whitney's Wheat Bread

Summary

Ingredients

  • 4 C very warm water
  • 1/3 C oil
  • 1/3 C honey
  • 2 Tbsp yeast
  • 1 C white flour
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 8.5 C wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Combine water, oil, honey, and yeast. Allow the yeast to activate, then add salt and 1 C white flour. Begin mixing. While mixer is going, add 1 C wheat flour at a time. Mix for about 10 minutes or until done.
  2. Split into 4 loaves and put in sprayed bread pans. Heat oven until just over 100 degrees and let the dough rise until the pan is about 75% full (about 30 minutes).
  3. Turn oven to 350 degrees and bake for 35 minutes.
  4. Immediately remove from pan and allow to cool on wire racks.
