Smash Burger

Summary

Ingredients

  • ground beef (5 oz per person)
  • buns
  • cheese
  • season salt or salt & pepper
  • oil (high flash point)

Instructions

  1. Form beef into 2.5 oz patties
  2. Preheat griddle
  3. Toast buns
  4. Oil griddle
  5. Place all beef balls on griddle
  6. Let brown slightly, then flip
  7. Smash each ball into a patty. (don’t smash it too hard)
  8. Let beef cook in it’s own juices until it crisps up, then flip.
  9. Add cheese to each patty.
  10. Stack patty on patty and add to bun.
