Raspberry Pretzel Salad

They call it salad, but it looks and tastes like dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ – 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ¾ cup melted margarine
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) pkg Cool Whip
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 1 (6 oz) pkg raspberry Jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 pkg frozen raspberries (or strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Mix pretzels, margarine, and sugar and press into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Cool. (May look soupy, but will set when cool).
  2. Mix sugar, cool whip, and cream cheese and spread over pretzel layer. Seal sides with cream cheese.
  3. Mix Jello until dissolved in hot water. Add frozen fruit. Let stand until almost jiggly stage.
  4. Spoon mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Refrigerate salad for 4-6 hours.
