Raspberry Pretzel Salad
They call it salad, but it looks and tastes like dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ – 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup melted margarine
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 (12 oz) pkg Cool Whip
- 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
- 1 (6 oz) pkg raspberry Jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 pkg frozen raspberries (or strawberries)
Instructions
- Mix pretzels, margarine, and sugar and press into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Cool. (May look soupy, but will set when cool).
- Mix sugar, cool whip, and cream cheese and spread over pretzel layer. Seal sides with cream cheese.
- Mix Jello until dissolved in hot water. Add frozen fruit. Let stand until almost jiggly stage.
- Spoon mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate salad for 4-6 hours.
