Lanche Misto
Traditional Portuguese sandwich. Great for a meal or a snack. Sweet bread with a savory filling.
Dough Ingredients
- 13 g fresh baker’s yeast
- 200 g of warm milk
- 500 g of flour
- 100 g sugar
- 10 g of fine salt
- 2 egg
- 50 g of melted butter
Filling Ingredients
- Ham
- Cheese
- Bacon
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Place eggs in bowl and beat a bit
- Add milk, butter, sugar, yeast
- Mix well
- Mix in half the flour
- Add salt
- Mix in rest of flour, using spoon then hands
- Sprinkle flour on countertop and knead dough 10-15 minutes until dough doesn’t stick
- Put a little flour in bowl. Put dough in bowl on top of flour. Put a little flour on dough. Cover wit towel
- Put flour on counter top and roll out dough into rectangle
- Lay cheese on half.
- Lay ham on top of cheese
- Lay bacon on top of ham
- Lay cheese on top of bacon
- Fold over top
- Slice into individuals
- Let raise until doubles (40 min)
- Brush top with beaten egg, plus some water
- Cook 375 until golden (~20 min)
