Grandma Wood's Pie Crust
Pie crust for pies.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2/3 cup shortening
- ¼ cup cold water (approximately)
Instructions
- Combine flour, salt, and sugar.
- Cut in shortening with pastry cutter, leaving some pea sized chunks of grease.
- Sprinkle water over mixture and stir with a fork until it forms a soft ball.
- Divide into 2 balls and refrigerate while you prepare filling (or at least a ½ hour).
