Creamed Tuna on Toast

Nostalgic tuna with peas!

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup margarine
  • 1⁄2 cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cans drained tuna fish
  • 2 cups frozen peas (1 bag)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • bread (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Thaw frozen peas in a collendar.
  2. Melt the margarine in a saucepan.
  3. Add the flour and blend.
  4. Add the milk, stirring constantly to prevent clumping and stir until creamy.
  5. Add the tuna, peas, salt and pepper and warm through.
  6. As the tuna is warming, toast bread.
  7. Spoon tuna mixture over the toast.
