Cheese and Garlic Biscuits

Summary

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ C flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • Pinch garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • 5 Tbsp cold butter

  • 1 C milk

  • 1 C cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted

  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Toss flour, salt, baking powder, pinch garlic powder, and parsley together to mix. Cut 5 Tbsp cold butter into chunks. Add butter to dry ingredients and use pastry blender to cut butter into the mixture. Keep mixing until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  2. Make a well in the dry ingredients. Pour milk into the well. Gently stir ingredients together. Don’t overmix. Stop stirring just before everything is incorporated.
  3. Spoon dough onto a large cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  4. Bake at 450 for 10 minutes, or until golden and crispy along the tops and bottoms.
  5. Melt 3 Tbsp butter and add 1/8 tsp garlic powder.
