  • 2 C flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 Tbsp cold butter
  • ¾ C milk or buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt and mix well. Cut butter into flour mixture. Add milk and stir until combined. Transfer dough to a well-floured surface and use your hands to gently work the dough together. Once the dough is cohesive, fold in half over itself and use your hands to gently flatten the layers together. Rotate the dough 90 degrees and fold in half/flatten again. Repeat 5-6 times, but be careful not to overwork the dough. Cut biscuits out of dough. Bake 12 minutes, or until tops are beginning to turn golden brown.
