Alfredo Sauce

Everyone’s favorite Italian sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 C milk
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 C grated fresh Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Put milk, cream cheese, flour, and salt in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. In a non-stick sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter and add garlic. Let the garlic saute for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the milk mixture to the pan and stir constantly for about 3-4 minutes, or until it just comes to a simmer. Keep stirring and let cook for a few minutes more until thickened.
  4. When sauce has thickened, turn heat to low and add Parmesan cheese. Stir to melt and then remove pan from heat.
  5. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
