Alfredo Sauce
Everyone’s favorite Italian sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 C milk
- 3 oz cream cheese
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 C grated fresh Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Put milk, cream cheese, flour, and salt in blender and blend until smooth.
- In a non-stick sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter and add garlic. Let the garlic saute for about 30 seconds.
- Add the milk mixture to the pan and stir constantly for about 3-4 minutes, or until it just comes to a simmer. Keep stirring and let cook for a few minutes more until thickened.
- When sauce has thickened, turn heat to low and add Parmesan cheese. Stir to melt and then remove pan from heat.
- Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
