Smoked Bratwurst

Because any meat is best smoked.


  • 10-12 bratwurst sausages
  • 14 cup barbecue sauce (optional)


  • pecan, oak, or cherry


  1. Remove sausages from package and leave them on counter while preparing smoker
  2. Preheat smoker to 225°F to 240°F
  3. Place sausages on grate, leaving about 1 inch between them
  4. Smoke brats for two hours
  5. For added flavor, brush brats with BBQ sauce 15 minutes before finished smoking.


Yields: 5 to 6

Cook Time: 2 hours
