Cold, sweet ice cream meets hot, roasty espresso. The affogato is easy to make and a treat for the senses. Learn how to make this quintessential Italian dessert, topped off with a pinch of chocolate and a sprinkling of sea salt.

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1/4 cup hot espresso or brewed coffee
  • 1/2 Tbsp Grand Marnier® or Cointreau® (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add ice cream to a bowl or cup. Pour espresso or coffee over ice cream.
  2. Drizzle with Grand Marnier® or Cointreau® (optional).
  3. Top with chocolate shavings.
  4. Sprinkle sea salt on top and serve immediately.
