Bread Maker Basic White Bread

Ingredients 1 ½ lb Loaf 1 1⁄8 cup warm water 1 ½ Tbsp vegetable oil 1 ½ tsp salt 3 cups flour 2 tsp active dry yeast 2 lb Loaf 1 ½ cups warm water 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 ½ tsp salt 4 cups flour 2 ½ tsp active dry yeast Instructions Add all ingredients to bread pan in the order given.

Bread Maker Pizza Dough

Ingredients 1 lb (12” pizza) 3⁄4 C warm water 1 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 1⁄2 tsp salt 2 1⁄4 C flour 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp yeast 1 ½ lb (15” pizza) 1 1⁄8 C warm water 1 1⁄2 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 1⁄2 tsp salt 3 1⁄3 C flour 1 1⁄2 tsp sugar 1 1⁄2 tsp yeast 2 lb (2 12” pizzas) 1 1⁄2 C warm water 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 2 tsp salt 4 1⁄2 C flour 2 tsp sugar 2 tsp yeast Instructions Add all ingredients to bread pan in the order given.

Broa

1 C yellow cornmeal 3⁄4 C hot water 1⁄2 C milk, warmed 2 tsp instant yeast 1 1⁄4 C whole wheat flour 1 1⁄4 C all purpose flour 1 1⁄2 tsp salt 2 Tbsp honey 1 Tbsp olive oil Instructions Mix the cornmeal and hot water in a small bowl. Stir in the warm milk, and let the mixture cool to lukewarm. Then add the remaining ingredients and mix and knead them together (by hand, mixer, or bread machine) to form a smooth, slightly sticky dough.

Brown Sugar Muffins

Ingredients 2 C flour 1 tsp baking soda ¼ tsp salt 1 C brown sugar ½ C soft butter 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 C milk Instructions Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Make a hole in the middle. Mix remaining ingredients and pour into the hole. Mix until moistened. Drop into oiled muffin pan 2⁄3 full. Bake 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

Cheese Breadsticks

Ingredients 1 loaf (1 lb) frozen bread dough, thawed 1⁄3 cup butter, softened 5-6 garlic cloves, minced ¾ cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided Instructions On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12 inch square. Combine butter and garlic; spread over dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese. Fold dough in half. Cut into sixteen ¾ inch wide strips.

Fabulous French Bread

Ingredients 1 C boiling water 1⁄3 C warm water 1 T yeast (I use active dry) 2 T sugar 1 T salt 1 T shortening (I use butter flavored Crisco) 1 C cold water 5-6 cups flour (I use all-purpose flour) 1 egg Instructions Preheat your oven to 170 degrees. Fill a glass measuring cup with 1 cup of water. Pop it into the microwave and heat it for 3 minutes, or until the water is boiling.

German Pancakes

Ingredients 5 Tbsp butter 6 eggs 1 cup milk 1 cup flour ½ tsp salt Instructions Heat butter in a 9x13 pan. Beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Beat another 2 minutes. Pour into hot, buttered pan. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes.

Herb-Swirled Rolls

Ingredients 1 loaf (1 lb) frozen bread dough, thawed 3 Tbsp butter, melted 2 Tbsp minced chives 2 Tbsp dried parsley flakes ½ tsp dill weed or dry thyme ¼ tsp salt 1⁄8 tsp pepper 1 egg 2 Tbsp water Sesame/poppy seeds Instructions On a floured surface, roll dough into a 14 inch x 12 inch rectangle; brush with butter. Sprinkle with chives, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.

Monkey Bread

Ingredients 1 jumbo package or 2 small packages of refrigerated biscuits melted butter cinnamon sugar Instructions Cut biscuits int triangles, dip into melted butter and then into cinnamon sugar. Place in bundt pan and cook at 375 for about 25 minutes.

Olive's Noodles

Ingredients 2 eggs ½ tsp salt 1 C flour Instructions Beat eggs. Add salt and flour. Knead well. Cover and let stand 30 minutes. Roll out thin. May let dry. Cut in narrow strips. Cook in broth about 10 minutes.

Olive's Rolls

Ingredients 4 C scalded milk 1 cube margarine ½ C sugar 1 Tbsp salt 4 Tbsp yeast 4 eggs About 10 C flour Instructions Scald milk. Add salt, sugar, and margarine to the milk. Cool. Add yeast and eggs. Mix in flour a few cups at a time. Let rise. Shape as desired. Let rise. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Orange Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients 2⁄3 C margarine 2 C sugar 4 eggs 2 C pumpkin 2⁄3 C orange juice 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt ½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 3 1⁄3 C flour nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips, if desired Instructions Mix well. Bake in well oiled loaf pans about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Check with toothpick to see if done.

Peasant Bread

Ingredients 1 pkg dry yeast (2 1⁄4 tsp) 2 C warm water 1 Tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt 4 C flour Instructions Mix in a large bowl until blended. Cover and let rise until it has doubled in size (about 1 hour). Divide into 2 rounds and place on a cookie sheet. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cornmeal. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.

Perfect Homemade Pizza Crust

Ingredients 1⁄2 Cup warm water 2 1⁄4 tsp instant yeast 4 Cups bread flour 1 1⁄2 tsp salt 1 1⁄4 Cup water, at room temperature 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil Instructions Measure the warm water into a 2-Cup liquid measur-ing cup. Sprinkle the yeast over the top. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the bread flour and salt. Add the room temperature water to the yeast-water mixture.

Pizza Crust

Ingredients 1 C warm water 2 tsp yeast 3 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp salt 2 ½ C flour ½ C corn meal Instructions Dissolve yeast in water. Mix oil, salt, flour, and corn meal together and spread into pan. Top as desired.

Pull Aparts

Ingredients 18-24 Rhodes rolls ½-1 small pkg cook type butterscotch pudding cinnamon 1 stick margarine 1⁄2 cup-1 cup brown sugar chopped nuts, if desired Instructions Spray bundt pan with cooking spray. Sprinkle chopped nuts on bottom of pan, if desired. Place frozen rolls on top of nuts. Sprinkle pudding on top of rolls, and cinnamon on top of that. Melt together margarine and sugar. Pour over rolls. Let rise all day, or over night (8 hours).

Ingredients 4 cups milk, scalded 1 cube margarine 1⁄2 cup sugar Approximately 10 cups flour 4 Tbs yeast 1 Tbs salt 4 eggs Instructions Add salt, sugar, margarine to milk. Cool. Add yeast and eggs. Mix in flour a few cups at a time. Let rise. Shape as desired. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Soft Bread Bowls

Ingredients 2 Tbsp sugar 1 1⁄2 tsp salt 4 Cups flour 1⁄2 Cup warm water 1 Cup milk 2 Tbsp butter 1 Tbsp yeast 1 egg, beaten Instructions Place 2 Cups flour into the bottom of your stand mix-er. Add sugar and the salt. Stir it to combine. Pour milk and water into one measuring cup. Heat it in the microwave for 1 minute, or until bubbly and hot.

Sticky Buns

Ingredients 24 Rhoades rolls 1 small box cook type butterscotch pudding 1⁄2 cup margarine 1⁄2 cup brown sugar Instructions Roll the frozen rolls in half of the pudding and sprinkle the rest over the top. Melt butter and brown sugar until it makes a syrup. Pour over rolls. Cover with saran and let sit overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cover with foil last 15 minutes if getting too dark.

Swedish (thin) Pancakes

Ingredients 3 eggs 1 ¼ cup milk ¾ cup flour 1 Tbsp sugar ½ tsp salt Instructions Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Stir in milk. Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Mix until smooth. Pour into crepe/omelet pan and coat to make a thin pancake. Turn when underside is light brown, or top is “set.” Roll up to serve. Serve with cinnamon sugar and syrup.

Zucchini Bread

Ingredients 2 C sugar 3 eggs 2 C grated zucchini 3 tsp vanilla ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp cloves 1 C oil or margarine 3 C flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 3 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg nuts, chocolate chips, or raisins as desired Instructions Mix well. Bake in well oiled loaf pans at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
